Delivery of the biennial Science Sampling Test (SST) and the Technical Pre-test (TPT) is required at the end of Key Stage 2 in 2020. The contract includes printing, collation, distribution, administration and coding. The purpose of the SST is to estimate national performance in science at the end of KS2, with respect to the KS2 programme of study for science. The purpose of the TPT is to provide data on the performance of all items included in the trial test papers, in order to inform future SST construction.
