Contract value: The scope of the contract shall include, but not be limited to the provision of cleaning services comprising but not limited to general cleaning, periodic cleaning, deep cleans, custody and vehicle decontamination.The Contract is split into 4 lots with Lot 1 relating to the requirement in Gloucestershire, lot 2 relating to the requirement in Wiltshire, lot 3 relating to the requirement in Dorset and lot 4 relating to all four locations. Bidders have the option to bid for one lot, 2 lots 3 lots or all lots.Any contract award will be for an initial period expiring on 30.6.2016 with the option to extend by a further period of up to 24 months agreed in writing between the parties.It should be noted that Gloucestershire and Wiltshire will commence any contract award on 1.4.2013. Dorset will join the contract on 1 October 2014 once its current contract has expired.The successful service provider will have responsibility for ordering, stocking, distribution and payment of all cleaning materials. In addition the Service Provider shall provide all cleaning equipment necessary for the provision of the service. The service provider shall be responsible for maintaining all cleaning equipment in good and safe order for the duration of the contract, including regular safety inspections and servicing in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation in force at the time. The cost of all repairs, maintenance to, and replacement of, cleaning equipment shall be borne by the Service Provider. All signage needed in connection with the cleaning requirement shall be supplied by the service provider.All products used will, as far as possible, be non-hazardous, environmentally friendly, and either fully disposable or recyclable. Bidders should note that this Authority follows a policy of environmental care and expects Service Providers carrying out services on its behalf to act in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner at all times. This factor should be taken into consideration when bidding for this Contract.It is envisaged that this contract will be subject to current TUPE regulations.
