Ofgem is looking for one Consultant to support the development of its policy with respect to the Significant Code Review for the Electricity market. The project duration is 20 days' input with an option to extend for a further 10 days, primarily working in Ofgem's London office, and with an immediate start working in December 2012 and January 2013.
The requisite skills for the Consultant are:
an extensive understanding of the GB energy wholesale electricity market;
a strong understanding of the economics of electricity market design;
a good understanding of European electricity reforms (particularly the European Target Model);
demonstrated strategic thinking skills and experience in developing electricity policy;
significant project management experience;
excellent drafting skills and experience in producing documents.
