The HPA has a requirement for a small histopathological grossing workstation suitable for the preparation of fixed rodent tissues (in 10% formalin) for histological processing. The workstation can either be a freestanding or benchtop unit. Due to space constraints the unit must not exceed 1250mm in length and must have a re-circulating ventilation system to remove formalin fumes from the environment. The key qualities for this equipment are reliability, user convenience and cost effectiveness. Quotations should cover a new complete system that fin the attached document. The system must include all necessary safety and warning systems and certificates to comply with current UK and European regulations.
