The Council requires a secure collection and delivery service for cheque and cash to be paid into its bank.
Collections are required as follows.
Cash in transit uplifts from 51 locations.
Cash in transit uplifts from safes at 9 locations.
Uplift, counting and processing from safes at 20 locations.
The successful contractor will be expected to provide the safes outlined above.
Value of cash uplifted is approximately GBP 5.6 million per annum with GBP 1.35 million of this total required to be counted and sorted. Approximately 10 000 cheques are paid in annually by carrier.
