Refurbishment of the laboratory comprises the following; Removal of existing finishes, fittings and equipment. Provision of new work benches, sink units and cupboards. Wall and wood work redecoration. New floor finishes. Alterations to small power and lighting. Alterations to water & drainage installations. The specification is to meet the requirements set out in by the HSE in “The management, design and operation of microbiological containment laboratories†– containment level 2.
