Apethorpe Hall is a large Grade 1 listed country house, dating from the late 15th century, with many significant alterations and additions, particularly of the 16th and 17th centuries. Besides the main house, there is an extensive stable block as well as many garden structures. The site has been uninhabited for over 25 years, with many parts in very poor condition. A Phase 1 programme of repairs was carried out in 2005-12. The Phase 2 programme will have a contract value of the order of £2m, with a start on site in March 2013 and an 18month contract period. The project work involves a wide variety of repairs to the whole range of historic structures.
