The Council is currently implementing an ambitious transformational change programme, the 21st Century Council. The Council recognizes that advances in technology and changes in customer and resident behaviour mean that different forms of service delivery organization are now possible that were not deliverable 5 to 10 years ago. As an integral part of the 21st Century Council programme, the Council is exploring model options for delivering its Highways and Transportation Services. The Council currently has two key contracts for Highways and Transportation Services: 1. A contract with a service provider for the delivery of professional services including highway and transport project design; and 2. A contract with a service provider for highway maintenance and construction services. Both contracts expire at the end of March 2019. The Council wishes to consult with organisations with relevant experience of the delivery of similar services. The purpose of the consultation is to seek the early views of market participants on potential service delivery models available to the Council that best align with the 21st Century Council programme. The consultation will assist the Council to identify preferred option(s) and help the Council in the planning and conduct of future procurement procedures during 2017. The Council intends to commence the procurement procedure in early 2018. The Council will host a Soft Market "Discovery" workshop at its offices in Wokingham on the morning of Monday 19th June 2017. Suitably experienced organizations are requested to submit an expression of interest in participating in this workshop to: email@example.com by 12h00 on Monday 12th June 2017. The Council will issue an Information Pack and short questionnaire to those organisations that wish to attend. The attending organizations will then be invited to submit completed questionnaires following the workshop. The Council intends to proceed to procurement in early 2018, however, makes no guarantees that this PIN will be followed with a Contract Notice or Tender. If you would like to contribute but you are unable to send any representatives to the workshop on 19th June, please send an e-mail to the response address listed, expressing your interest. The Council will ensure that you are contacted again when we are ready to accept the written inputs.
