Kent County Council (the Employer) is the largest local authority in England covering an area of 3,500 square kilometres.
This requirement is for Coring and Material Testing within the Enterprise and Environment Directorate.
The contract will commence upon 1.4.2013 and will continue for a period of two years unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of Contract attached in Schedule 3 of the Invitation to Tender. The contract can be extended for up to a maximum of a further 2 years.
The Services to be included within this Contract are coring and testing of utility reinstatements; coring of other areas for investigations prior to highway maintenance and improvement works; collecting of samples; sampling of materials used on the highway; carrying out specified in situ and laboratory tests and providing technical personnel and factual reports.
The Employer intends to procure the Contract via the open competitive tender procedure in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (as amended).
Responses are to be submitted in accordance with the instructions set out within this ITT. Any quantities shown within this ITT and any relevant documentation are estimated and may be subject to variation and therefore do not form any basis of guarantee.

Subject to the required Partnership Agreements, this contract may be accessed by any public authority within Kent but not limited to the following:
