The service is for the provision of building-based short stay / respite provision to Adults with a Learning Disability who have been assessed by the Purchaser as requiring this Service in accordance with its eligibility criteria.
The Service will be delivered from building bases providing opportunities for people to receive 24 hour support within a shared accommodation environment. The buildings will be provided by a registered Social Landlord
The Service will offer a range of daily living and social activities and events for people to choose to access whilst staying in the building based short stay/respite provision.
Individuals will be allocated a number of nights stay per annum in line with the Purchasers assessment. The management of implementing an individuals allocated nights against given dates will be the responsibility of the Provider.
The Service will be delivered flexibly and responsively 365 days a year. The support delivered will cover 24 hours per day and inclusive of waking night provision.
Dependant on the outcome of a Key Decision provisionally scheduled for the 6.2.2013, the Service will commence on 1.10.2013 for a period of 2 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year.
