HIE's recently approved 2012-2014 Research and Evaluation Plan represents a more co-ordinated and strategic approach to research and evaluation within HIE and outlines organisational research priorities for the next two years. It also recognises that additional project-specific or reactive research work may be required in addition to research plan activities to address particular circumstances, challenges or information requirements.
To support this research activity, the Research and Economics team would like to set up Framework Agreements under which future research could be commissioned. The outcome will be a more efficient, cohesive and co-ordinated approach to research, enabling better budgetary control of research spend and ensuring value for money.
The Frameworks will be themed by the different types of research and divided into 4 Lots as follows:
— Lot 1 Sectoral Research,
— Lot 2 Evaluations,
— Lot 3 Economic Intelligence,
— Lot 4 Socio-Economic Research.
The Framework Agreements will be awarded, on a multi supplier basis for each Lot.
Due diligence activity (including feasibility studies, technical appraisals, etc) will not be covered within the scope of this tender.
