Contract value: The UK Military Aviation Authority (MAA) has a requirement to conduct up to 40 Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) Approvals across the Military Air Environment (MAE) during calendars year 2013/2014. A CAMO Approval consists of an assessment of a Military Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), and supporting documents against the MRP Part M regulation (RA 4900 series). These Approvals will be Initial in nature but may include some elements of Surveillance activities. The MAA has a significant challenge to acquire the skills necessary to approve such organizations, as these skills have yet to be developed in the MAE. This requirement seeks an expression of interest from Contractors to provide essential and specialist Independent Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the CAMO audit function for all 40 Approvals, and so enabling the development of suitably qualified and experienced MAA personnel by skills and knowledge transfer. It is intended that each Approval will be conducted by MAA personnel supported by an independent Assessor(s) who will be SME,s in the CAMO function. The Contractor must be prepared to travel to Military venues predominantly in the UK but with some world travel. The contractor is to ensure that the assessors hold a Basic Check (BC) level of security clearance. The Contractor shall be ISO 9001 certified compliant and will conform to ISC/IEC 17021:2011 or an acceptable equivalent. The Contractor must demonstrate that they are independent and that their assistance in the Approvals process will not be conflicted by work previously undertaken on or behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD).The Authority reserves the right to carry out a PQQ if required.
