GB-Swindon: Gamma Detectors

The Authority has a requirement for supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of three high purity germanium (HPGe) gamma detectors for teaching purposes and a HPGe gamma detector for project work to the Authority at HMS Sultan and the maintenance and support of these four items. 1. The core requirement for the three HPGe detectors for teaching purposes are that they deliver against the following criteria: Has a Relative Efficiency >= 10%. Are side mounted Peak to Compton ratio at 1.33 MeV >= 40:1 2. The core requirement is for the HPGe detector for project work is that it delivers against the following criteria: Has a Relative Efficiency >= 15%. Is top mounted Peak to Compton ratio at 1.33 MeV >= 55:1 3. The core requirements for all four HPGe detectors are that they deliver against the following criteria: Peak shape at 1.33 MeV FW.1M / FWHM <= 1.9 Peak shape at 1.33 MeV FW.02M / FWHM <= 2.6 Energy Resolution FWHM at 122 keV <= 0.80 keV Energy Resolution FWHM at 1.33 MeV <= 1.80 keV Are provided with suitable liquid nitrogen dewar and cryostat Are supplied with a preamplifier with high voltage inhibit Minimum useful energy ~40 keV Be compatible with gamma vision software All cabling provided 4. 12 month warranty against defects 5. Delivery and installation by end April 2013. The MOD intends to progressively migrate its transactional purchasing activity to electronic purchasing using the Purchase to Payment (P2P) system operating over the Defence Electronic Commerce Service (DECS). All tenderers must state in their expression of interest response(s) that they are able or willing to trade via P2P. This will be regarded as a compliance issue when tender responses are evaluated. If not already connected to DECS, tenderers should consult on connectivity options with the service provider Capgemini. Information on DECS and P2P may be viewed at Companies that wish to express an interest in this requirement are required to provide their full company name, postal address, contact name, telephone number and email address to
