The Supply of High Level Decontamination to County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust any any other Trusts with its remit. During, or following confirmed or suspected clusters or outbreaks of infectious diseases, robust cleaning and high level decontamination of equipment and the clinical environment is paramount in reducing exposure to harmful organisms, preventing further spread, and minimizing risk. And a very good means of providing robust and effective high level decontamination is the use of Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour (HPV) Any system under consideration should be have excellent efficacy with those organisms which are considered difficult to deactivate and must be able to demonstrate a >6-log reduction in test organisms and be able to produce documentary evidence to support these data. Also the system must be scalable to enable high level decontamination from a small room to and entire Ward or department, the provider must be able to support this with detailed records of what actions were performed on our site, which will stand the scrutiny of any regulatory or audit inspections. This must include batch and serial numbers, equipment locations, biological indicator locations and results. The preferred provider must be able to react to unforeseen emergency responses and be able to offer planned and emergency services with the minimum of downtime to the service. The contract will be awarded for 12 months with the option to extend an 12 months at the Trusts Discretion.
