The Clinical Biochemistry Department at SWBH NHS Trust in Birmingham requires an additional UPLC-MS/MS analyser to help with the increase in workload and development of new tests for the Clinical Toxicology service. It is our intention to use this equipment for screening and quantitation of classic drugs and also legal highs for which we already have methods developed in-house.
The new system must be comparable to or better than our existing analysers in terms of sensitivity and specificity and methods must be easily transferable. We are also particularly interested in new technology that will improve our service by minimising carryover, better resolution of peaks and improved sensitivity and specificity of detection. Suppliers should have experience of using their equipment for toxicology applications and the ability to offer relevant clinical support. This will be a capital purchase and delivery must by the end of March 2013.
