To provide strategic management of the OFTâ€™s Information and Advisory Service, ensuring value for money and the delivery of customer-focused information and knowledge services. This will include developing the strategy of the service as information needs evolve and in light of transition of OFTâ€™s functions to the Consumer and Markets Authority (CMA) and Financial Conduct Authority; managing print and electronic resources, ensuring they meet OFTâ€™s needs; ensuring OFT compliance with copyright laws as it relates to the use of materials provided by IAAC; managing the IAAC budget and ensuring the service is appropriately resourced; managing staff in a way that develops potential and in preparation for the new institutions.
