Telford and Wrekin Council is a Unitary located in the North East Shropshire in the West Midlands. Our main offices are located in 4 buildings together with some small satellite offices throughout the borough. The Authority is also responsible for cabling local Authority Schools, currently 203. The Authority is seeking to award a contract for infrastructure cabling and associated peripherals which will comprise of the following elements: • Supply, installation and commissioning of all Cat5e, Cat 6 & Cat 6A network cabling including data ports, patch panels, trunking, cabinets where applicable. • Supply, installation and commissioning of all fibre systems. • Installation of Wireless Access Points. • Consultancy services for the provision of new installations. • Integration with third party external partners, ensuring installations follow agreed Health & Safety Standards. • Project management of the implementation, in conjunction with the Authority’s project manager. • The provision of documentation indicating cabling routes and the cable numbering used. The Authority also requires support and maintenance to include all existing cabling infrastructure within the Authority’s premises including school sites.
