This tender is for the provision of a pilot line for the assembly of lithium-ion electrode materials into a pouch cell format. A number of different lithium-ion chemistries will be trialled on this equipment so the equipment will be required to cope with a variety of thicknesses of electrodes.
The chosen supplier will be required to provide a fully project managed turnkey pilot line for the construction and electrolyte filling of lithium-ion pouch cells within a dryroom environment. The dryroom is not part of this Invitation to Tender. A number of machines will be required to construct the pouch cells and it is anticipated that the supplier shall have the capability to provide all machines detailed in the Invitation to Tender as a single package.
