Contract value: RCUK SSC is acting on behalf of the Pirbright Institute to assist them in procuring a High Containment Commissioning Consultant for the remained of the project. The Pirbright Institute require a Commissioning Consultant with experience of High Containment laboratories to lead the Client Existing Consulting Team and Contractor throughout the design construction and occupation phase of the project with the objective being the successful licensing of the facility to conduct high containment operations.The Pirbright Institute is in the process of developing a commissioning team to work in collaboration with the main construction contractors commissioning agent to ensure building quality through peer review and onsite verification using an integrated systems approach. This will ensure the legislative requirements pertaining to high containment buildings are fully met. The supplier will need to lead and develop that team as part of their delivery of the commission consultancy services.The supplier will be required to update the commissioning plan and review both operational testing and the operation of the systems to meet with the owner project requirements.A key challenge in this build will be to incorporate the commissioning schedule into the ongoing overall design and construction schedule and ensure component installation verifications, system tests and integrated system checks are executed in line with the total building commissioning process.The supplier will be required to verify and supplement the training requirements to ensure that users (including maintenance personnel) are properly trained to use and maintain the facility performance across the life cycle of the building.Estimated value excluding VAT: Range: between 1 000 000 and 2 000 000 GBP
