This is an open EU tender, it is for 2 lots, suppliers may bid for one or both lots, these may awarded singularly or together to one or more suppliers.
Lot 1 - 15 x Manual Milling Machines for New AMRC Training Centre
The objective is to procure 15 manual milling machines as commonly found in the manufacturing industry. These are for use in our training area within the AMRC Training Centre building.
These machines will predominately be used for training purposes during which they will produce parts that will support and compliment the delivery of the apprenticeship framework
Material
Materials to be machined are predominantly Mild and low carbon steels, plus non-ferrous materials such as Aluminium and copper,
Machine Working Envelope
The machines must be capable of producing components with a working envelope of
i. 800 mm x 200 mm (12 off machines)
ii. 1000 mm x 400 mm (3 off machines)
Services
The mains air supply is 100psi.
The power supply is 3 phase, 400 volts
Important Capabilities
Please state:
a) Overall Dimensions and supply a layout.
b) Weight of the built machine.
c) Foundation Requirement and drawing, including construction details, if necessary
d) Utility Requirement (Power,Air,etc)
e) Machine Accuracy including certified factory limitation.
Lot 2 - 15 x Manual Lathes for New AMRC Training Centre
Use and Description
The objective is to procure 15 manual lathes for use in our training area as commonly found in the manufacturing industry. These are for use in our training area within the AMRC Training Centre building.
These machines will predominately be used for training purposes during which they will produce parts that will support and compliment the delivery of the apprenticeship framework.

i. 1.0m length (12 off machines)
ii. 1.5m length (3 off machines)

This is an open EU procurement procedure. The ITT can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the University's e-tendering system https://in-tendhost.co.uk/Sheffield. Completed tenders must be returned through the same e-tendering system.
The closing date for return of tenders is 12 noon on 11.2.2013 (UK time).
