Northumbria Probation Trust is comitted to the maintenance and development of its Service User Council to: 1. Provide a structure for Trust staff to meet with Probation Service Users on a range of issues. 2. Enable Trust staff to gain a better understanding of Service Users' experience. 3. Provide an opportunity to hear Service Users' perspective on existing practice and future plans. 4. Raise and discuss new approaches for service delivery. 5. Encourage proactive and efective engagemet of Service Users from different backgrounds to ensure that services are fair, accessible and appropriate for all those that use them. 6. Seek ways of reaching those Service Users who have not previously engaged fuly with the Trust.
