412628-2012: UK-Exeter: Hire of aircraft with crew

The Environment Agency require a Contractor to provide light aircraft and pilots to carry out Remote Sensing operations in England over the next five years. Flying approximately 1 000 hours per year, it is envisaged that two aircraft will be needed to ensure continuity of service. Each aircraft will need to be adapted to accommodate a range of our down-looking remote sensing instruments including LIDARs, cameras and multispectral imagers. The flying program will be operational every day of the year and it is routine to carry out both day and night time flights as part of the program. In addition, as a CAT 1 responder, we also react to emergencies where The Environment Agency requires aerial data including flood mapping. Ideally we are looking for a single supplier for multiple aircraft and pilots, as well as the engineering services and infrastructure to ensure that we can operate efficiently and effectively throughout the UK and occasionally in Northern Europe.
