Entertainment services. The Authority is seeking Expressions of Interest from potential suppliers for the requirement of providing live entertainment for HM Forces.
This requirement is specifically for HM Forces and MoD Civilian personnel deployed on operations around the world, maritime deployments outside UK home waters, and other operations and exercises, including Remote Permanent Joint Operating Bases. In addition, live entertainment is to be provided to personnel who are rehabilitating at clinical facilities and associated hospitals, following operational deployments. The Authority may also require the provision of live entertainment shows on an adhoc basis in support of HM Forces
Live entertainment to be provided is to comprise of a mixture of comedy, music, dancers and celebrity ‘Grip & Grin' as appropriate to the location and audience. The purpose of the requirement is to provide respite for personnel operating in often arduous, austere and dangerous environments at sustained high levels of operational tempo. The successful contractor will be operating in diverse locations worldwide, often austere and remote, with limited access to developed levels of infrastructure, equipment, transport and utilities, and subject to heightened levels of personal danger.
It is envisaged that the services will be required for a 21 month period commencing on 16th June 2013 and will include three additional option periods of up to a maximum of six months per option. Tenderers will be required to attain and retain the BS EN ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance certification in relation to the services specified. The service is currently under contract and potential suppliers should be aware of the potential application of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006. Tenderers must be CONDO compliant as per DEFCON 697 and DEFSTAN 05-129
Potential suppliers with experience of delivering the aforementioned services in a prime-contractor role should submit an expression of interest in writing. PJHQ is unable to consider late expressions of interest. Subsequent to the receipt of expressions of interest, PJHQ may undertake a pre-qualification exercise for this requirement and only those companies that can demonstrate a sufficient level of competence against the Authority's pre-qualification criteria will be invited to tender for the requirement.
The MOD is progressively migrating to electronic purchasing using the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system operating over the Defence Electronic Commerce Service (DECS). All must confirm that they are able or willing to trade via P2P in their expressions of interest.
