The Trust is seeking a qualified Service Provider to deliver its high quality improvement program by maintaining and managing the its medical equipment inventory.
The Trust will explore through the dialogue, options including; management of the service and inventory, maintenance services, ownership of Trust inventory, producing efficiencies in third party contracts and managing the performance of these, and any associated services. The final scope will be developed through the dialogue phase.
Bidders will have proven expertise in service transformation, managing maintenance risks and costs, and performance, and will take responsibility via an output-based specification.
A fundamental component is that the Provider will be given comprehensive managerial control to enable them to manage the delivery of the improvement program, in its entirety at optimum cost with sustainable benefits. The objectives are to secure savings of at least 20 %, improve efficiency and minimise delays associated with repair.
The contract will be for 5 years with the option to extend for further periods upto a maximum of 5 years.
