Contract value: We are seeking a company or companies to provide End of Life Vehicles e.g. scrap cars, large goods vehicles or passenger service vehicles (coach, minibus, bus etc). The vehicles will be used for Road Traffic Collision (RTC) training, where the vehicles will be cut at strategic points using hydraulic cutting equipment. When training is completed the vehicles will be returned to the contractor. The vehicles will remain the property of the contractor and therefore risk will not pass to the AuthorityIt is anticipated the Framework Agreement will start on 1st April 2013 and end on 31st March 2015. The Framework Agreement is initially for 2 years with an optional 2 years extension period. The Framework will be awarded to between three and five Contractors per lot.The contract will be divided in the lots which bidders may tender for one, multiples or all lotsLot 1: Coventry & Solihull locationLot 2: Birmingham locationLot 3: Black Country locationThe winning bidders will be required to deliver scrap vehicles to various locations in the lot area.In addition to the 38 fire stations delivery of scrap vehicles may be required at the WMFS Headquarters site which is located in Central Birmingham, at the Academy in Smethwick and at various non WMFS locations across the West Midlands for training and/or demonstration purposes.Bidders must be experienced in this field and be able to demonstrate its professional competence in providing a regular service.
