We are looking to commission an individual or one organisation to deliver a two year capacity building project to develop core income generation, fundraising and business competencies in up to 30 cultural organisations. This project will take place in two locations – East London and Leeds – and deliver focussed, intensive and appropriate bespoke business development learning, resources and consultancy. At the core of the project will be a focus on developing and improving business competencies, income generation and fundraising skills for public sector cultural organisations. Critical to this core aim will be engendering engagement in both locations with the private sector.

Contract value: Common challenges faced by cultural organisations include:— Changing business models is challenging, predominantly because small staffing structures are limited in time, finance and expertise.— Challenge of recruiting key business skills – especially financial and commercial.— Asset exploitation – unable to fully exploit assets, both intellectual and property.With this project we are particularly interested in understanding the impact of intensive group and one-to-one development and learning for a group of 20-30 cultural organisations within a limited geographical area. We have identified Leeds and East London as the locations for this project for the following reasons:Estimated value excluding VAT: 275 000 GBP
