Contract value: Network Rail wishes to procure a suitably experienced contractor for the supply and installation of between 50-60 nr automatic ticketing gates and approximately 14 nr DDA compliant swing turnstile gates across Birmingham New Street railway station.The scope of works includes:The phased installation of between 50-60 nr automatic ticketing gates across New Street Station with an additional 14 nr single directional motorised DDA compliant swing turnstiles.Varied levels of maintenance support including call out facility will be required.The gates must be able to read barcode, magnetic stripe and smartcard tickets, they must be ITSO accredited to latest version of ITSO specification (currently 2.1.4).The gates must be able to validate full range of rail-based ITSO products, as detailed within ATOC documentation reference 3002 (ITSO on Rail Specification) and must comply with ATOC documentation reference 3016 (Accreditation Requirements for ITSO Ticket Control Equipment).The gates must be able to validate Centro issued ENCTS cards.Subject to the capabilities of the technology currently available in the market, consideration should be given to the validation of tickets from mobile phone devices as well as the ability for gates to be able to validate (and invalidate) tickets using the barcoding on internet printed tickets.Estimated value excluding VAT Range: between 1 500 000 and 3 000 000 GBP
