"The aim of this specific provision is to: â€¢ Build employability skills and work experience levels for JSA Jobcentre Plus customers, who may predominantly be aged 25+, who are referred to this provision â€¢ Obtain real work experience opportunities within identified key and growth employment sectors, some examples of these are given below. â€¢ Support and mentor customers during and after the provision to move them into sustainable paid employment. Work Experience employers and placements are to be obtained by the contracted provider predominantly within the following employment sectors: â€¢ Business and Administration â€¢ Care â€¢ Catering â€¢ Customer Service â€¢ Health â€¢ Hospitality â€¢ Retail â€¢ Security â€¢ The locations, that the contracted provider will be required to supply this work experience for, will be: â€¢ Blackpool (within council boundary) â€¢ Pennine Lancashire (which covers Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Rossendale, Burnley, Ribble Valley and Pendle council boundaries) The requirement is split into two distinct geographical areas (Provision A & Provision B), but DWP has a preference for a single contractor to deliver in both of the selected areas. Provision A â€¢ Blackpool (within council boundary) Provision B â€¢ Pennine Lancashire (which covers Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Rossendale, Burnley, Ribble Valley and Pendle council boundaries) Organisations can bid to deliver services for a single Lot or both Lots, but should be able to cover the whole region specified within each Lot. However, those interested in providing full geographical coverage will be required to submit separate bids for each contract package area. "
