The Provision of CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear) Medical Training Enhancement â€“ Electronic Media Sub-Project. The requirement is for two packages of work which may be awarded separately or together. Package 1 - CBRN Medical Training is intended to enhance the delivery of training using a blended learning approach. Defence CBRN Centre (DCBRNC) supports the development of distributed (distance) learning, clinical simulation, casualty decontamination training and bespoke training solutions. Electronic media is an important investment for the delivery of lectures, DVDs and eLearning. It is the intention to develop an archive of licensed material for the long term use for MOD medical and non-medical CBRN training and for use by health sectors. Medical media requires consistency and the following media is required: 1. Bespoke high-definition graphics demonstrating the mechanism of chemical agents and their antidotes. The DCBRNC will support the successful tenderer by procuring and providing the archive media for inclusion in the high definition graphic demonstrations. The successful tenderer will be expected to fully deliver the requirement within 6 weeks of contract award. Critical - Sixty to ninety second video of the mechanism of normal nerve transmission, nerve agent action and the action of the antidotes / Sixty to ninety second video of the mechanism of cyanide toxicity and the action of the antidotes / Product is to be high-definition / Product is to be available in formats suitable for presentations, DVD and eLearning / Provider to work with CBRN Medical SME / Provider to work to a storyboard / Provider to provide opportunity to preview before final product / Provider to have previous experience of medical pharmacology graphics / Provider to provide rendering options before final product Package 2 - The provision of CBRN Medical Training Enhancement â€“ DVD Filming and Production: The requirement is to develop training media for use as a DVD for unit use. It will comprise two 20 Minute videos which cover CBRN threat and recognition, initial response and principles of CBRN casualty management. The same media is then to be made available to develop an eLearning / computer based training option either as a standalone training solution for CBRN Medical training or within a suite of CBRN or medical courses. The project should be produced in a format that is transferable to online media for eLearning. The DVD training video will include interviews with senior health staff and incorporate a short element of self-directed learning for individual use. The final product will be of broadcast quality (high-definition) and be able to incorporate archive film material. The final product will also have a narration using scripts or guidance by the medical faculty. The provider must be able to film on site in London, Salisbury, Aldershot, Gosport and York, if required. Previous experience of filming and production of media in this area of operational medicine is desirable. The successful tenderer will be expected to fully deliver the requirement within 6 weeks of contract award.
