Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) is the UK's national laboratory for fusion research. CCFE is based at Culham Science Centre in Oxfordshire, and is owned and operated by United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. CCFE requires the following scientific equipment for it's Materials Research Facility (MRF) 1) a combined Focussed Ion Beam (FIB) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) for precise fabrication of nanostructures and optimal preparation of speciments for subsequent examination. 2) A Nano Indenter (NI) for mechanical testing of nanostructures and micromechanical methods and 3) Scanning Eltron Microscope (SEM) for analysis of a range of metallic samples.
