The European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) has identified four standards for the screening of liquids and gels contained within bottles.
Civil airports within the United Kingdom are required to inform the Department for Transport by the end of June 2013 of their intentions for the screening liquids and gels contained within bottles. These proposals then have to be put into operation by January 2014.
