NWL0036 Support to Carers - Harrow

NWL CCG requires services to support unpaid carers in Harrow through information sessions and courses, positive psychology, therapeutic workshops, Mental Health drop-ins and IAPT assessments. Unpaid Carers suffer many health inequalities including mental health illness. They need support to so that they can recover from mental illness, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which affected the mental health of carers significantly, to maintain a healthy mental state and to prevent mental illness. The service has adapted reflecting the needs of carers as these change. The CCG currently has a contract in place with Harrow Carers to provide the services. The term of this contract is 18 months, and expires on 31st March 2023 (value: 63,250.00), during which time the CCG will review the needs of the service users and consider how (if relevant) it can take a further integrated approach. If it is the case that Harrow Carers is the only provider capable of independently delivering all the services described, then the CCG will look to award a further contract to Harrow Carers after March 2023. The purpose of this notice is to be transparent about the CCG's intentions and to invite anyone interested in delivering the services described above to contact us by 4th March 2022. During 2022, it is anticipated that NWL CCG will be succeeded by an Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any future contract may therefore be in the name of the ICB.
