Supply, Delivery, Installation and Maintenance of a Gas Detection System Reference: 0075-OPS

This contract is based on the tender issued by MDC for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Maintenance of a Gas Detection System across most of the laboratories within Block 35, Alderley Park, Cheshire, both ground and first floor. MDC must provide a safe working environment for the science teams operating in these areas, therefore each laboratory requiring Gas Detection Alarms will have both Oxygen Depletion and Carbon Dioxide sensors installed. The procurement process was designed to explore and evaluate each bidder's relevant experience, competency, and ability to deliver against the MDC's specified requirements.The tender assessed a potential supplier's quality and cost, quality had the weighted score of 60%, and cost had a weighted score of 40% The Tenderer who has passed all the Pass / Fail criteria and has achieved the highest total weighted score and considered the "most economically advantageous Tender" has been awarded the Contract. The tender submissions were evaluated by the evaluation team, The contract for the provision of a Gas Detection System is awarded to Draeger Safety UK Ltd. The installation will be prior to end July 2021. Once installed to the satisfaction of MDC a three (3) year Total Care Service contract inclusive will commence.
