The Authority is considering placing a 4 year contract for supply, of I Band (9.2 – 9.8 GHz) Portable Radars (Display, Antenna and associated Accessories). The equipment will be used as a Secondary Submarine Radar so will need to meet IMO SOLAS regulations. The Initial requirement will be for the Supply of a minimum of 5 Radars. Options will also be requested for support. In accordance with the HSE Manual Handling guidelines, no single portable part of the assembly should weigh more than 13 Kg. The Antenna’s external diameter (excluding mounting bracket) should be 525mm or less. The Display width (excluding bracket fixings) should be 300mm or less. The equipment should run off 24v DC. The supplier shall maintain their quality certification (e.g. BS EN ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent) and provide evidence of current BS EN ISO 9001:2008 certification
