Leicester City Council is considering options for the replacement of its SAN Storage/Backup solution due to reduced capacity and increasing costs for keeping the hardware supported beyond January 2021. The existing solution was purchased 5 years ago and was procured to host our Exchange 2010 environment, Hyper-V Virtual Servers, Backup of the Hyper-V servers, Hosting of homedrives, Application areas and Shared areas for the various departments and users. We are keen to seek market information from organisations that may have an expertise in this field in order to support our interest and understand the options that exist in the market to support the requirements, and whether vendors can supply all of the requirements for Leicester City Council to keep on providing the service that it currently does with the existing solution.
