The commercial procurement unit has a requirement to update the current working processes involved in the day to day operational running of the department. Due to the recent addition to the department of a contract management team, the number of separate interventions needed to gather relevant and accurate information have been highlighted. This procurement proposal is to purchase software to eliminate many of these interventions and allow quick and easy access to reliable information. The intention is to procure a Spend Analytics Solution for both Liverpool City Council & Wigan Council to manage expenditure across the Authorities, and a Project Management Tool for Liverpool City Council to manage procurement projects and approval requests from internal departments.
