Approved Supplier List (ASL) for Alternative Provision for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs (SEND) on the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Tenders from suitably qualified suppliers to enter into an Approved Supplier List (ASL) for Alternative Provision for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs (SEND) on the Isle of Wight. This service is intended to address a need for educational activities for young people who are unable to access education at the current time. It will support to deliver outcomes for children and young people in the Isle of Wight, who are without a school place. It will offer a wide range of alternative education provision, supporting wherever appropriate, transition back into school. In some cases, alternative provision will be commissioned to support an individualised education package within school. The ASL shall comprise 3 Lots and Potential Suppliers can submit an application for one or more of the Lots. Lot 1- Academic. This covers the academic pathway and is primarily for education suppliers and /or qualified teachers to express an interest. We are looking for accredited programmes of study that can be offered from each of the Key Stages and can cover Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education. We are looking for innovative approaches to learning to support young people with learning needs which should provide progression into the world of work. Lot 2- Therapy. This covers the therapeutic pathway and is primarily for trained therapists to express an interest. As an example, we are looking for Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language, Educational Psychologists, etc. The coverage should be 0-24 yrs. old and cover Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education. We are looking for innovative approaches to therapy to support young people with learning needs which should enable young people to be independent and access the world of work. Lot 3- Support - Other. This covers the support agencies and is primarily for supporting young people. For example, we are looking to safely transport young people to alternative suppliers, chaperoning agencies to accompany young people on activities and agencies that can provide alternatives to traditional education pathways etc. The coverage should be 0-24 yrs. old and cover Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education. We are looking for innovative approaches to support young people with learning needs which should enable young people to be independent and access the world of work. The closing date for receipt of initial applications is 14:00Hrs on 14th August 2020. The ASL will remain open throughout the duration of the agreement and suppliers can apply to join at any time. Any submission received after the 14th August 2020 will be evaluated when the ASL goes live on the 14th September 2020. The term of the ASL shall be 14th September 2020 (go live date) until 31 August 2028 with the option to extend for up to a further two years at the sole discretion of the Authority.
