Winchester City Council ("The Council") is inviting tenders for the provision of banking services. The contract required is for general money transmission banking services and includes maintenance of Council bank accounts, access to Faster Payments, BACS, and CHAPS payments. Paper clearing as well as cash handling. Internet banking service will be required for balance/transaction review and reporting and for payment initiation. The Commencement Date for the Contract is 1 April 2021, and the Contract shall terminate on 31 March 2026. The Council will require the option to extend the contract for another three years (i.e. up until 31 March 2029). Prospective Tenderers must be authorised to act as a bank in the UK and provide access to UK clearing systems. The Council may seek documentary evidence appropriate to Financial Conduct Authority (or equivalent) registration during the selection / evaluation process.
