The project comprises the structural repair of the Governor's office at Anguilla, Caribbean. Following the hurricane damage in 2017, temporary repairs have been carried out to the building to make it wind and watertight, however, whilst the repairs were being undertaken structural defects were identified relating to defects in the existing build, primarily poor foundations and utilisation of substandard materials. To ensure the building is more resistant to future hurricane events a new roof structure and covering is required tied into structural upgrades proposed for the building. THE REQUIREMENT The works will generally include:- - demolition/removal of existing roof structure and installation of new hurricane resistant pitched roof - construction of a new structural ring beam tied to roof structure underpinning - repair/remediation of existing structural cracks/defects - redecoration - replacement of internal ceiling and associated M&E
