Mansfield District Council ("the Council") is seeking to appoint a Contractor to carry out works to Mansfield Town Hall - Retail and Office Development. This contract will only be awarded subject to our funding application to the N2 Town Centres Programme being successful. Contractors are invited to bid for the work. Work includes internal and external alterations to the Grade II* Listed building including some demolition works. Redecoration and renovation of period interiors, sensitive additions to existing period features to comply with current building regulations, removal of existing M&E installation and replacement with new systems. New platform lift installations and repair of existing cable passenger lift system. New construction includes a single-storey corridor link extension within an existing service yard. Also, to be constructed is a new flight to an existing staircase with new glazed lantern structure over. General fire compartmentation works are required as well as new ancillary facilities such as kitchenettes and WCs.
